Topics Education Rubric Evaluates Effectiveness of Financial Education Resources

CHARLOTTE, NC – Topics Education, developer of educational programs, has made available a rubric by which they evaluate an organization’s financial education resources, conferences, partnerships, et al. The assessment tool helps to ensure that financial education programs are of the highest quality – from instructional design, to aesthetic design, to accessibility.

Amidst the current economic climate, Topics Education has seen an increase in client work around improving financial literacy. Developing an educational product requires assessments of client’s existing resources and those already in the market. During these evaluations the company has seen a great deal of ineffective tools, which has prompted the release of this rubric. In a time when we all understand the importance and urgency around financial literacy, it is imperative that the resources out there are effective and positively impact consumers and change behaviors for the better.

The Topics Education Rubric, acting as both a guide and an assessment tool for an organization’s efforts to improve financial literacy, can be downloaded from their website.
